Many types of respiratory protection rely on a tight seal between the wearers face and the respirator facepiece/mask. Unless this is achieved effectively, the wearer may not be adequately protected. Join George Elliott, 3M Personal Safety Division’s respiratory specialist as he discusses the requirements surrounding fit testing, the methods available and how to demonstrate competence.
Biography
George Elliott is a Senior Application Engineer within the Personal Safety Division. George has a degree in Industrial Design and a Masters in Marketing and Business Management and currently holds technical responsibility for 3M’s disposable and reusable respiratory portfolios. George supports end customers in procuring both adequate and suitable respiratory protective equipment as well as being involved in the development of new product innovations. George has 5 years’ experience with 3M and is also Fit2Fit accredited on both the qualitative and quantitative face fit test methods.
