Event details

Join us for the next FSM webinar with FirePro on 25 January 2023 at 10.30am to learn how a small fire event can be easily detected and stopped from developing into a major life-threatening fire event.

Following the highly recommended book publication - Catastrophe and Systemic Change: Learning from the Grenfell Tower Fire and Other Disasters (Perspectives) https://amzn.eu/d/gS3HxHC, well respected, author Gill Kernick, provides a neutral thought provoking, and compelling read regarding the facets, approaches, thinking, behaviour and evolution of Legislation for fire safety in the UK. Part of the publication discusses low probability, high consequence, catastrophic events.

The new Fire Safety Regulations in high rise, complex and other premises, require evidence of risk management consideration which may include even small or low probability fire risks, with high consequence for either life safety, mission critical premises operation, or usage. FirePro, a modularised fire suppression technology is a localised fire suppression system that can be engineered (at low cost) to detect and activate in the smallest enclosures, to meet (and exceed) requirements, to maximise protection of relevant persons, and to mitigate a small fire growing into a large, if not catastrophic one.

Localised, non-occupied spaces containing fire risks such as electrical risers, lift motor rooms, bin stores, boiler rooms, roof plant, solar PV controls, loft spaces, li-ion battery charging / storage, and many other local risks, may now be protected and this seminar will demonstrate how a localised fire event may be swiftly detected, alarms raised, systems shut down, and local FirePro fire suppression released to mitigate consequences and avoidance of the costly interruption / damage to premises and its purpose, most importantly, protection of life.

All attendees will receive CPD points.
