Event details
To stay competitive, there is a constant demand on industry to boost efficiency and safety. Health & Safety Managers have a critical role to play to ensure a safe working environment for metalworkers due to their exposure to many hazards such as respiratory, noise, injury and hand-arm vibration.
A safer workplace is a more productive workplace and using a tool such as the hierarchy of control, managers can look to mitigate risks by finding alternative methods of carrying out the process, thus improving safety and productivity. One example using the Hierarchy of Control would be to add some automation into a manual process to remove or reduce risks to the operator.
Theo Simon, a Global Application Engineer Specialist in abrasives at 3M, discusses how advancements in engineered abrasives can help improve safety and increase productivity in the workplace.
All attendees will receive CPD points.
